After an initial treatment, Botox results will become apparent within the first several days and will be most visible by one-week post-treatment.
The best results are evident after 30 days, and they can last up to three to four months or longer based on how quickly the body metabolizes the product. Repeat injections are necessary to maintain results long term.
Botox for Cosmetic Concerns
Botox is most often used to treat different cosmetic concerns, specifically expression lines on the upper half of the face. Of all the different neuromodulators available for cosmetic use, Botox is FDA approved to treat most areas of the face. We can use it to smooth expression lines on the forehead, the crow’s feet that form at the outer corners of the eyes, and in the area between the brows where frown lines form.

Xeomin
Xeomin is a neuromodulator known for its highly purified formula, free of additional proteins. Patients who want a pure formula to treat expression lines often choose Xeomin to meet their cosmetic needs, as well as patients who suffer from different protein allergies. Xeomin is uniquely designed to smooth frown lines between the eyebrows.

Dysport

What To Expect From the Treatment
The treatment process for all of these injectables is virtually the same. We can apply a pre-treatment numbing solution to your skin before injections to enhance your comfort. Still, many patients choose to forgo this since the treatment is quick and virtually painless.
Appointments take ten to twenty minutes; we’ll sanitize the treatment area, administer a customized amount of product into the muscles of your area of concern, and then you’ll be free to resume most of your normal daily activities once your treatment is over.
Am I a Candidate?
The best candidates for neuromodulators are patients who want to address cosmetic or muscle-related medical concerns like migraine pain, hyperhidrosis, or TMJ. It’s important that patients are not currently pregnant or nursing at the time of treatment and are not allergic to any ingredients in the injectables used during their treatment.
